We are excited to share the resounding success of our recent “Reach For It!” event—an innovative recreational program specifically designed for children and youth navigating Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
Last Sunday was nothing short of magical as we joined forces with the incredible teams from Dufferin OPP, Orangeville Fire, and County of Dufferin Paramedic Services to create an unforgettable day. The turnout was fantastic, and we want to share a heartfelt THANK YOU! to the Officers, Auxiliary Officers, Paramedics, and Firefighters; your unwavering support and infectious enthusiasm were what made this event a welcoming haven for our young participants.
An additional THANK YOU! to Orangeville Dairy Queen and Orangeville Zehrs for their generous contributions of food, supplies, snacks, ice cream and drinks—your kindness ensured a feast of joy and laughter for everyone involved.
The primary goal of the Reach For It! initiative is to forge and strengthen positive relationships between young participants and local law enforcement and first responders, including police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. By allowing these emergency services personnel to engage positively with children, we create a powerful connection between our youth and community first responders.
Together, we not only reach for it but soared high above this goal. We created cherished memories and continued building a supportive community that fosters understanding and compassion for children and youth with FASD.
