Our Process to Foster or Adopt
At DCAFS, we are dedicated to providing the best care for the diverse children and youth we serve. We believe that every child deserves a loving and supportive home environment to thrive. That’s why we are here to fully support families who are interested in joining our diverse foster parent community. Every child, no matter their challenges, possesses incredible resilience and unique strengths. We are searching for loving families who can provide guidance and mentorship to youth as they navigate the journey into adulthood. Additionally, we are seeking homes for children with diverse special needs and families who are willing to offer permanency to those who may not be able to return home or find Kin/Kith support. As a foster family, you will play a crucial role in helping children and youth reach their full potential and experience the well-being they deserve. We understand that the approval process may seem overwhelming, but please know that it is in place to ensure that you are fully prepared to care for a child in need. Dedication to this process directly relates to the dedication needed when fostering.
