What is Truth and Reconciliation?
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, otherwise known as Orange Shirt Day, is a day where survivors and non-survivors of the residential school system are honoured and remembered. It is a day to acknowledge the harm and the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous communities. Additionally, it is a day to recommit efforts to implementing the 94 Calls to Action.
