Board Member Recruitment

Thank you for your interest in our Board of Directors.

We currently hold vacancies that we would like to fill with individuals who are knowledgeable of the needs of those who live in Dufferin County and who can contribute their skills and talents to help fulfill our service mandate.

Dufferin Child and Family Services is a multi-service agency, providing child and youth mental health, child protection and developmental support services to children, adults & families in Dufferin County. Together with the community of Dufferin County we have important and exciting accomplishments to achieve over the next few years.

We are excited to announce that our Board will be actively involving all stakeholders in our journey towards implementing strategic changes and aligning our services to better serve children, youth, and families. Our primary focus is to ensure that our services remain accessible, responsive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community.  As we embark on this transformative path, we are committed to upholding our mission, vision, and values while delivering exceptional service to the residents of Dufferin County. The role of our Board of Directors is pivotal in driving these initiatives forward.

Please take some time to review this information carefully as you consider your commitment to DCAFS as a Board Member.

Our Governance and Nominating Committee will be holding interviews in the near future to speak to prospective Board Members.   • Consent for CPIN/CaseWORKS Record Check – to ensure there is not a conflict with a file – this step must be done before any candidate is scheduled for an interview with the board.
  • After an interview is completed, candidates must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VCR) through the OPP. Candidates will be provided with a volunteer letter by DCAFS to ensure VCR can be completed without any cost to the candidate.
