Board Member Recruitment
Thank you for your interest in our DCAFF Board.
Dufferin Child and Family Foundation (DCAFF) was created to raise money for additional supports to improve the lives of all who are receiving service from Dufferin Child and Family Services. Our focus is on raising funds to support innovative and urgently needed programs and supports that are not government funded. Our Foundation has been formed to further solidify and strengthen the essential fundraising and granting that the Dufferin Children’s Fund had undertaken for Dufferin Child and Family Services in the past. Twice a year the Foundation goes through a granting process based on submissions from DCAFS staff and based on the needs of service recipients.
Dufferin Child and Family Foundation has three priorities:

Youth Futures

We are thrilled to announce the successful funding of $2,000, which provided essential workshop tools for a dedicated service recipient participating in an Auto Mechanic Apprenticeship. This crucial support directly equips them for success in their demanding program.
We’re incredibly proud to share that this remarkable young adult is now well into their third year of the apprenticeship, demonstrating exceptional commitment and skill. Their hard work has paid off tremendously, as they have recently secured a position at a local Dufferin Community car dealership! This exciting milestone not only marks a significant step in their professional journey but also highlights the profound impact of our community fundraising efforts on fostering promising careers.
Thanks to an allotted $1,500 for crucial child support, a young family was able to purchase essential specialty formula for their infant baby, proving a critical item often unavailable in local foodbank programs in Dufferin region. After an ongoing six months of our support, we are delighted to share that the baby thrived, maintaining excellent growth and weight, and successfully transitioned to solid foods. A baby step that leads to a lifetime and starts with DCAFF!
