DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a music program that is fun\, inclusive\, and tailored to your child’s needs? Look no further than our Music Therapy – Band Camp! Our ABA-based music group is designed for all youth ages 10-15\, with no music experience required! For one hour a week\, over ten weeks\, your child will work on social skills\, build confidence\, and develop musical skills in a non-judgmental environment. \nOur experienced team\, including a Board-Certified Music Therapist and an Applied Behavioral Analysis Technician\, and overseen by a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst\, will assign each participant an instrument based on their needs and musical experience\, ensuring that everyone can participate positively and meaningfully. Together\, the group will choose a song to learn and form a band\, working towards a final performance for family\, or choosing to create a recording\, or simply performing for staff within the group. \nParticipants will be assessed by the music therapist when they enter the group\, and progress will be documented throughout the course of the program to ensure apt feedback and pathways to success. DESCRIPTION:Information night will occur on September 10\, 2024 with sessions begin on September 24\, 2024.\n\n\nThe PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) program is a social skills group designed for socially motivated participants to learn the unwritten rules on how to make and keep meaningful friendships.
