Board of Directors

Dufferin Child and Family Services is currently seeking volunteer Board Members.

Membership on DCAFS’ Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity for individuals to take a leadership role in Dufferin County and make a significant contribution to children, families and to our community. To ensure we have a well-rounded, diverse Board, we are looking to recruit members who have the following skillsets, talents and/or backgrounds:

  • Legal Expertise
  • Fundraising, Marketing & Communications
  • Strategic Leadership & Planning

Members of the Board meet once a month with the exception of July & August.  Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.  Board Members are also expected to actively participate on Committees of the Board that meet regularly.  Volunteer Board Members are asked to attend and support DCAFS’ community events.  Board Members must actively support and endorse DCAFS’ Mission, Vision & Values and Strategic Plan. If you are interested in receiving more information about DCAFS Board and would like to discuss this opportunity and nomination process, please contact:

Board members are elected or appointed from the Society’s membership. The Board is composed of twelve (12) members elected for a three year term. Members who are interested in participating as a Director should submit a letter of interest to the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee at the office address.
